After the formal part of the evening Norman gave a very informative talk and demos on aspects of wine and beer making.
He created a triangulation tasting of two of the five basic tastes, acid and sweetness and then where both acid and sweetness had been added. This was carried out using water as the carrier and the doctored one of the group was to be identified.
He then gave a demo on the acid test showing how easy it is to do. By balancing acid with the dryness of wine it makes for a much more wine of quality.
Many thanks Norm.
Graham won the raffle on the night.
